Don't use the water method. Spraying water on a vacuum leak will cause the engine to suck the water into the cylinders. It only bubbles if the leak is going the other way, like on a propane tank. Take off as many removable panels as you can, including the seat. With the engine running, hold a 1/2 inch rubber hose with your ring and pinky finger while holding your hand like a cup. put your hand to your ear so your thumb and index finger seal your ear from outside noise. Now, with the other hand, probe around, in and through the engine with the other end of the hose. When you get close to the leak, you will hear either a sucking sound or a whistle. When you find it, the type of damage will dictate what kind of repair is necessary. If the problem is a cut due to rubbing on the frame, cut the hose back about an inch on each side and use a small section of steel or copper tubing wrapped in electrical tape to bridge the two ends so it doesn't happen again. If it's a disconnect from a fitting, apply a little glue to the outside of the fitting and slide the hose back on.
With a spray bottle fill it with soapy water now goto where you have your carbys ,let the bike idle, now spray the solution around where your carbys join to your motor , also repeat where you think suction is on the motor ,never rev the motor while doing this, a leak will show as air bubbles.
