In an on the road comparison that I read this morning comparing the GSXR1000 to the new Yamaha YZF-R1 they had a couple of interesting things to say. 1) The only way that the R1 could keep up with the GSXR in 40 mph 5th gear roll on tests was by switching the gixxer's fuelling curve to C which basically cuts the power of the gixxer by about 1/3rd in the lower portion of the rev range. 2) The R1 is a better out of the box bike for track day riders. The gixxer would beat it miserably if you didn't mind putting extra money into suspenion mods and a power commander. 3) The R1 makes the gixxer look plain and dull when sitting side by side. This came from this month's issue of Performance Bikes. the YZF R1 hands down the most awesome and impressive bike ever to touch planet earth! The YZF-R1 by yamaha is the fastest and it can travel up to about 168 mph My 07 gsx-r 600 can do 168 The most popular sports bike are the honda CBR, Suzuki GSX-R, and the Kawasaki Ninja They usually come in 600cc-1400cc the suzuki gsxr is ranked as the best sport bike ever by Cycle World magazine. |
