What are some good entry level sports bikes to ride in the city.. ?

I want something that has atleast 120 mps top speed

C'mon man, bikes rock and all, but you're never going to find one that goes 120 miles per second! Hahahahoooheeeeha!

If you plan on being a total squid, start on the recomended GS500, otherwise go with the Suzuki SV 650. It makes a great TRACK bike too... check the link and eat your speedy heart out. Source(s): http://www.roadracingworld.com/product/t...
Start with a lower cc. If you jump to the top of the line sports bike, you will never get the skill to ride at high speeds. You have to ease into it.
Lets say you want to go to around 500 cc or abouts then your best option will probably be a Honda CBR 600cc. Fast and easy to learn. In lower cc you could go for a Hornet.
I would stick to a Honda CBR 600F4i if you don't have a lot of bike time. Easy to ride and once you get skilled enough then upgrade to what you really want.
Hear me out here
Susuki GS500

It has been around for about 30 years, starting in the mid 300cc range then gradually getting bigger. the 500 has been around for about 15 years.

This means spares are available from wreckers, lots of spares means cheap cost of ownership

They have a bullet proof engine, with a ball bearing crank. Very very reliable.

They are so fun to ride. I have big sports bikes. I've done 300 000km, I've travelled atleast 50 000km at over 100mph. I know bikes.

When every I ride a GS500 i have the biggest smile on my face.

They have no fairing, they are light, nimble and easy to ride. I recommend them to anyone.

foget horsepower, it all comes down to the rider.
I can get on a cbr250rr and smoke someone on an R1 in the mountains.
For city riding you want want something lightweight, with good flickability, meaning you can maneuver easily and take potholes and construction areas that are common in cities. As an entry level bike you want mid-level engine size 500 to 650 CCs.

I started riding 8 months ago and got a Ducati Multistrada, 620 CC. It has plenty of horsepower at freeway speeds (top speed is 120, but those speeds are for tracks man, not streets) and it's easy to maneuver in the city. I'm glad I didn't go for a smaller bike because I know I won't be itching for a bigger bike in a year.

You could also go for a Suzuki SV650 as a good mid-size starter bike but the throttle is more testy than the Ducati.

Good luck!
