I know this is a bit of a dumb Q. ZX-10R? |
I have wanted a sports bike of a while. My brother wants to sell me his 250 ninja not a bad bike but he also had told me that if i did get it i would want a fastter bike in no time. I know it wouldn't be the smarest thing to start off with a 1000cc bike but it is what is avaliable to me now. I have a few friends who said that they learned how to ride on an R1 (crazy). i figured i would get the ninja zx-10r and then just trade my brother bikes for a few months till i get the feel again. I started out on 1000 cc it's in the way you learn and you respect the bike.. Practise braking under emergency situations get used to the weight... never ever race in the city because the the variables of speed and sight and braking add up to a crash... Ride it like a car and only test the crap out of it when you are on a road with NO ENTRY FROM PARKING LOTS... The last thing you need is a car pulling out when you are switching into 3rd gear going 170 kmh redlining and it only took you 6 seconds to get there... Without experience this is a panic situation... No time to panic just time to understand not to do it in the first place... Things happen fast so think ahead and never find yourself doing something stupid like racing another bike on the road... With experience you will know when to hold em AND KNOW WHEN TO FOLD EM... hehe Good luck Would you name me as a beneficiary on a life insurance policy I will pay for it?
