What is the best motorcycle (crotch rocket) under 500cc's??? |
Im looking for a bike under 500cc's. I dont care if its older or newer, it just has to be a crotchrocket/sports bike. It also must be a 4 stroke. Im not looking for a 2 stroke before everyone starts naming of the Aprila rs250. Ya they're good bikes but theres a reason I want a 4 stroke. Eventually I want something lighter & slower that I can put a turbo on. Not looking to make it amazing or super fast, I just want something different that would just keep up with bigger bikes in the straights(so please dont tell me to just get a bigger bike). And I dont need a lesson on turbos, so please dont tell me everything I will have to do to put a turbo on a NA bike. i kno i kno, lol. I am just looking for good 4 stroke bikes under 500cc? any opinions? anyone have any of these bikes? any from overseas maybe? handling? underrated bikes? I do have a few in mind but I want to here what other ppl would choose without hearing my opinions. oh and im not lookin at the ninja250, anything else tho, thanks I got your point, and I'm laughing along with you. I know exactly what you're looking for. I don't have any info on newer small bikes. My last 500 was an '82. While it wasn't a "crotch rocket" in it's seating position it did kinda look like one. Wouldn't be hard to set it up the way you're thinking either. 1982 Yamaha XZ550RJ Vision. Oops that's not a 500--- oh, well. Counterbalanced 70 degree V-Twin (torque), watercooled (no heat problem with the added HP), shaft drive. There was a set of two (mother&son) on Craigslist a while back if you're interested. If I bought two more bikes before the wife gets another car.............................. check at the motorcycle store the best? thats is a term you see quite often on yahoo answers. whats the best? the best? since when do you ever hear anything is the best? do your own research and find out what you like nobody can tell you what you like. your on the internet go search away and see what you might find. I bought my 5 year old son a 250cc street bike.. dude the 600cc bike is the perfect bike for beginners and experts it's the perfect size bike, if you get anything less you will regret it and waste your money. the fact is your just scared don't give us that BS about putting a turbo on your bike or that you want a smaller style. take yamaha there is the 600r which is a little bigger for a sports bike and then the R6 which is kinda smaller, but kicks all around behind. go look at a R6, or a GSX R600, or a CBR600rr, they are all smaller but they r the better style, all the makes have a sports bike thats a little bigger. if these bikes r to big in size than you must be a hobbit or something, so quite acting like a wuss FRODO and go check out a R6, GSX R600, or a CBR 600RR. you'll be a happier little Hobbit for this advice. These are the only ones I can think of under 500 cc.....http://www.kawasaki.com/products/detail.... derbi (the one below) is an 50cc but they make a 80 and 125 of the same model.
