Responsible advertising?

There is an ad for T-Mobile Blackberry on my Yahoo page. It features sport bikes and the copy, " I just e-mailed my client, then opened up the throttle". Does this seem to be irresponcible advertizing to anyone else?

irresponsible - yes.

Why? Perhaps it slightly implies that one could use their blackberry while riding a motorcycle, which seems pretty dangerous. but ultimately it's ambigious how much time passes between the two actions.

Example: "I was born, then I answered your question" is true enough, but there were 22 years in between.
It sounds ok to me, just so long as he wasnt emailing with his left hand and accelearting at the same time!
.... although, I'm SURE that sooner or later ( just as people now think nothing about talking on the phone or reading or fixing their makeup while driving a car ) someone will try it while actually riding.
Shoot, yeah! Those ad-men (and women) have no social conscience at all, at all. But then, neither do the salespeople.
Sure, they'll promote using one's communications device while riding. They'll sell a 1500cc ROCKET to a kid who hasn't even gotten his license yet. They'll probably give him a highball of vodka and heroine before they push his doomed patoot off the lot and into traffic.
Personally, I hold with individual responsibility. I think that the idiots who kill themselves confusing their TV reality with their Real reality probably are doing the gene pool a favor.
On the other hand, we could also do the old gene pool a favor by holding the advertisers and vendors criminally liable, as well.

I'd have to see it for myself. It depends on whether there's an implication that the guy emailed WHILE riding.
The comma is used to replace a pause, or to indicate a sequence of events...that is, the rider e-mailed the client, THEN opened up the throttle...Is that easier for you to understand? BTW, there is a spell check button...
