Whats a good beginners motorcycle for a tall guy? |
im 6'3 and just passed the test. They told me to ride a 250 bike cause its safer but im tall around 235 pounds.I dont like harley type bikes. So any other type of bike like sport or dual purpose bike i could get into. For street bikes, look at a Hyosung GT250R. It's a great learner bike, it's full-size, and it looks great. It is always best to start on a 250 until you get your skills up (2 years or so). They are rated to take passengers up to 340#. http://www.bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/h... I would say a 500cc or bigger would be fine for you. Your a pretty big guy so dont get something that wont putt you around at a decent rate. a 250 I think is a little small for us. don't get a 250, you will out grow it very quickly...go to your local Honda or Suzuki...etc dealership and sit on a few sport/touring bikes...you will get the idea of which bikes feel good to you pretty fast. They all have a different feel and the height of the bars and seat positions are different from bike to bike...you will easily handle a 600-800 cc bike...ride safe dont get a 250, way to small for you. it was for me and i'm only 5"8. go to a honda dealer and sit on a bunch of different bikes, dont settle for any bike unless its comfortable for you. Mate check out ninja 650R sv650 S40 suzuki drz400sm A Suzuki DRZ 400 SM (street motard.... wider wheels, street tires, higher gearing, street legal!) would be perfect for you. It's a very mild 400, has sorta soft suspension but you can crank it up some. http://www7.plala.or.jp/cl400/drz400sm.j... |
