Dirtbike debate? |
can someone please resolve this family debate, myself, my 10 yr old son, and my fiance are having.my son (10 yrs, 75 lbs) is a dirtbike junky and wants to retire his yz zinger for something bigger with more power. He and my fiance insist that he is NOT to small for a kx 80, but I've seen this bike in action and just can't see him controlling this bike. I agree that he needs something bigger, he rides excellent,he has the interest and passion for this sport but I'm just not comfortable with this bike. He wants a two stroke, so does anyone have any other suggestions for a good second bike.ty He is old enough for the 80 when I was only fourteen I was riding a XR350 if he does not get it you will holding him back from learning to ride a more powerful bike when he is young. You have already stated he is a good rider he has grown out of the training wheels bike get new one. Your hubby has already explained how much power this bike will have and everyone knows the dangers of dirt bikes it comes with the passion. Get over your insecurity it is better for him to learn now on this bike because if he is going to go pro with this the faster he gets on the big bikes the sooner he can start making some money doing something he loves. Good luck and have fun shopping consider the CR 80 great power and well its a honda more dependable. I have to agree with your fiance and son. Especially if he is a good rider. I did the same for my son, and their was no problem. When they have a passion for the sport of dirt biking, they also understand the dangers that a more powerful bike can bring. As a mom, it took me a little bit to accept it, and allow it, but it was a great decision! Good luck! He needs to upgrade. Put him on the KX and let him roost. The kx80 good choice son.Mom let him get it.He will suprise you how tallented he can be. OLDMXER |
