Where is the nicest place to live in the uk? |
out of these places: cardiff, bournemouth, durham, bristol, edinburgh, swansea. tell me as much as you know. which of these places has the most stuff to do- i love outdoor activities so which has the best options for hiking, biking, and other outdoor sports. which is most beautiful, interesting, and has the best food. I may be a little biased because out of those places I've only been to Edinburgh! But I'll tell you what I know about Edinburgh... Being the capital of Scotland it is a great place with plenty to do and lots going on! I live north in Aberdeen, and there's lots of places around Scotland to do outdoor activities. You could venture up North a little where there's lots of hills/mountains to go hiking, biking and walking. Edinburgh has lots of good sights to see also such as the Castle. Plenty of restaurants and bars too. I think Edinburgh is good because it is a big city but you are not too far away from quieter areas such as further north which are ideal for outdoor activities. Hope that was of some help! LONDON Goofy. Go to Arizona, Wyoming, Montana. You will see things that will amaze you. Especially on a bike. Why go to the UK "mate"? As I said, Goofy. If you like fog and rain everyday...by all means go to England. They are nice people...but..the weather sucks. Been there , done that. Enjoy your stay. Out of those places. I'd say Bournemouth. Great beaches The New Forest is less than 10 miles away. It's on/near the jurassic coast. Quite a big town .. over 100,000 people so good nightlife and restaurants etc. Dorset is a great county. It's near enough (couple of hours drive) to Somerset, Devon... to go there for the day... (Dartmoor, The Mendips, Cheddar etc) Don't go for Bristol or Durham. Don't really remembe the other places. But Bournmouth in my mind is by far the best. (out of the ones you listed) Probably Edinburgh. Lots of hill walks in the city and near. Having two universities and lots of students, the are lots of sports facilities. Bristol is OK, I haven't really been to the others but if you like hiking and biking both Bristol and Swansea would be good. Bristol is close enough to Exmoor to have a nice day out, you can also pop over the Severn Bridge to Cwm Carn in Wales (nr Ricsa or is it Risca) where there are mountain bike trails. Swansea would also have good access to good hiking areas. |
