What are the top 10 places in British Columbia, Canada, to live? |
I'm talking about a cute town that's got all the sports like snowboarding and mountain biking, and isn't too expensive, but is high class, and fun to live in. Okay, lower BC is indeed more expensive than other places. However, it is possible to live here on a basic budget. But, as far as living high class but inexpensively, well, that just isn't going to happen, unless your idea of inexpensive is a lot more than most of us live on. I would recommend Vancouver, because it's a cool city, has all the clubbing you would want, you can enjoy all the amenities, even if you live in a "funky" part of town that isn't as expensive, 5-10 minutes iwll have you to the downtown "classy" areas to club and shop and whatever. Also, you can ski and snowboard just across the way in North Van, a 20-25 minute ride from downtown. You can see the ski area (Grouse Mountain) from the rest of the city even. And in the city area you can bicycle almost year round, stanley park is a huge urban park and has a lot of trails to ride on as well as the seawall. As far as small towns that have all of this, am not sure, but smaller towns will have less amenities. Horseshoe Bay is cool, but expensive, and not a lot to do there, comparatively. Same with many areas. I don't know much about kamloops, kelowna, etc. you don't ask for much do you? lol everything's expensive in bc right now :) i'M not sure but my husband has been in the area, i'LL ask him and let you know THere's no such thing as not expensive in BC. British Columbia is expensive. There is absolutely nowhere you will be able to find all the things you are looking for cheap and fun to live in at the same time. Whistler is THE place to go for the mountains and the snow but it is so expensive, don't even think about it if you are not a millionnaire . You might have a look at communities in the North like Prince George, Williams Lake, Quesnel and places like that, but they are remote and I am not sure they are fun to live in !!!!!!! Live in BC You might not know it but BC stands for "bring cash!" Good luck finding something cheap there. |
