Am i going to get stronger/fitter if I follow this current schedule? |
My current excersise schedule: Monday morning run/ab excersies (sit ups etc) Tuesday rest (walk optional) Wednesday 10-20 pull ups, 50 weights per arm, ab excersises Thursday Rest walk optional Friday Bike ride/excersise bike, ab excersises Saturday 10-20 pull ups, 50 weights per arm Sunday ab excersises rest excuse any typos. i used to do more than this but i thought it was too much including sport. i eat fruit an ive done research and ive come to believe resting every other day helps build muscles. Will this work for my muscles/fitness? thanks. "Stronger and fitter", since they are relative terms, depend on the stage at which you started. If you're very strong already - or even if not - you should always be challenging yourself with more reps and more weight. Thus, following this routine will bring you to a certain stage before you plateau - and if you want to continue to progress, you'll have to up your intensity. I would advise you to get a little more cardio. Experts disagree on exactly how much we need, but somewhere between 30 - 60 minutes per day, on most days of the week, has been called ideal. Cardio will make your heart stronger and help burn fat so that your muscles will show. Also, you weren't specific about what kind of ab exercises you'll do. If you vary them more, or do exercises with higher intensity, you should see better results. Good luck! |
