Hey. Well, I'm 16 and 5ft exactly so I hear where you're coming from. Wherever I went I was always the smallest AND I STILL AM!!!!! I think I was shorter then you when I was 9 and I haven't really gotten much better. I have never been with friends my own age without being several inches shorter. Growth spurts happen unexpectedly... the best I can say is the eat a bunch of greens (sorry about that) and drink milk because that's good for the bones. How tall are your parents? Mine are very short themselves and there's just nothing you can do if you're genetically destined to be small. I myself wear boots which have 1 1/2 inch heels (I'm still the smallest) but so long as you don't go wearing shoes which make you several inches taller, you could get away with that 1 extra inch without notice. This might help you in the long run though: In a few years all your friends will be complaining about how tall they are and they'll be all angry that they're so long and lanky. You will be worshiped girl, and I mean WORSHIPPED!!! And just a side note: Boys like it if your smaller than them. My Dad says it makes them feel strong and manly and stuff so it'll just count in your favor in that area. ;-) Source(s): I'm short too. Sorry girl, but you can't do anything to make yourself grow. There are no growth inducers, speeder uppers, or anything. If people make fun of you because of your height, they aren't worth your time : ] You're in fourth grade! You shouldn't worry about height yet. Just enjoy your height, you'll get used to it eventually. Uhhh, growing just happens. You can't really do anything to make yourself grow but wait for it to happen naturally. However, you can be sure to get plenty of healthy foods in you so your body stays strong as it grows. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do: it's your DNA. How tall are your parents? You can ask them if they can ask the doctor how tall you will be, doctors can tell by your bone spurs. There is also such thing as a growth hormone, but doctors are very reluctant to give it--they only do it in extreme cases. |
