on startup abs light is on when moving goes off will this pass a mot as its not when driving Probably quite normal. I've ridden lots of Hondas & BMWs that are like this. the ABS light only goes out after moving off & reaching a certain speed.
If it comes on whilst you're riding this would indicate a problem, otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about it.
When it comes to the MOT most places nowadays use a rolling brake test machine which turns the wheels, this will probably be enough to get the light to go out. If the tester was concerned about it they can do a road test which would show if there was a problem. I would check for a loose connection or broken wire at the sensor. Uncle fester is right, it detects wheel rotation and puts out the light, If the light were to stay on after moving off then that would be a problem.
