On some of the episodes of "Yes, Dear" they do an end segment that is just set to music (to Chicago's "Hard Habit to Break"). The characters are shown doing different things together (playing checkers, riding scooters, playing guitar, combing each other's hair). One of the characters (usually Greg) goes off in like a "day dream" sequence and is reminiscing all of it.
One episode that they did it was when Greg rented the storage unit to store all of his stuff (from when he was single) that Kim wanted him to get rid of to clear out their garage. He went to the unit to play with his stuff and made a friend there who wore a "Star Wars" Wookie costume. At the end of the episode Greg went off in a day-dream reminiscing about doing things with his Wookie costumed friend as I descibed previously. If you've seen a lot of the "Yes, Dear" episodes you'll know what I'm talking about here.
I'm thinking that it may be a spoof of a popular movie because they do that sometimes in that show. They do that same type of end segment that I was talking about on a few different episodes. They did it on the episode when the older black lady (who was a neighbor of theirs) started coming over and helping Kim out. (The older lady was lonely because her son recently moved away to be closer to his job.) She started cooking for Greg and he grew real attached to her. She also knitted a sweater for him. Her son showed up and Greg called him a "sorry excuse for a son" and that got her mad at Greg and left with her son. (All that was a "subplot", the episode was really about when Jimmy became a baseball umpire because it was always his dream, but it ended up that he was really bad at it.)
Anyway, they also did that end segment I'm talking about in even another episode. I can't think of the main storyline but I think it was after Christine and Jimmy moved out. The part that I recall in that was that they were combing each other's hair but since Jimmy was bald they all laughed. a montage?
I have seen that episode it's one of the best =)
yeah even with all the new info I am not sure what you mean, but when they put different scenes to music it is called a montage. i love that episode its hilarious!! im confused on what ur question is??? maybe its jsut me. sorry! |
