Help me with my dog Scooter? |
My dog Scooter is part black lab /rot weiler. He has all the best features of both breeds. He has all the markings of the Rotsie With the disposition and playfullness of a black lab. He is very people friendly, animal friendly, children friendly. He has never attacked anyone in his life. I have one major problem with him. Aside from automobile, and trucks, he has a problem with anything else on wheels, in motion. As long as those things are motionless, he is cool with them . Once they start moving. WATCH OUT. Thank God I obey the leash law , and for that reason only, there has been no incedents. Even that is challenging. He is a big dog . He could knock you down trying to get at those things in motion. Anybody out there HELP! If it is available where you live watch the Dog Whisperer on National Geographics channel. Cesar Milan had a Rottie just like that and he worked with it and it was amazing. He has a website also. He is Wonderful. Not a trainer but teaches the OWNER how to be a pack leader so the dog will respect you and be the dog you are proud of. Sounds like your dog is 90% there already. Good luck. I don't agree with the water balloon thing but try this BEAT HIM WITH A SKATEBOARD AND HE'LL STOP CHASING IT. I think you should talk to a perfesonal trainer. that's all I'm saying. I have a lil chihuahua so, I don't have 2 worry about that. i used to sit for a dog like that, but it was boys on bikes. then again, it was a bichon. Try a halti collar. It's kind of like a head harness. and no dog likes it at first, so don't worry if he shakes to get it off, but it will give you complete and total control over the dog because you will have control over the direction of the head. good luck. |
