Aside from finding parts for the scooter (which isn't going well), I'm looking to remove the restrictor, upgrade the exhaust (if affordable) and disable any speed monitors that may exist on the bike. seriously- i wouldnt bother with all that- the power increases would be very insignificantly small that it would be pointless
go with derestricting it if you can
then your best bet is to change sprocket size- its fairly cheap and will have the biggest impact
go smaller on the rear to shave off your top speed, but add torque, and vice versa
thats presuming you dont have a belt drive! ;) Being a 4 stroke, you really don't have a lot of options.
Check with the guys at http://www.battlescooter.com
They have a lot of performance parts for Japanese scooters. Hey, think about your licensing too. In my state, endorsements are required relative to vehicle capabilities, as well as displacement. Altering scooter this way can get it impounded in my state. |
