That is a list of all the Clinton Pardons.

Presidents pardon people and commute sentences. It is part of their job description.

Just look at that list. There has to be at least 200 names or more on it.

So where was the outrage when President Clinton pardoned all those people. Why does Bush get attacked and Clinton get a pardon?

Excuse me, Scooter wasn't pardoned, he was granted clemency.

The libs make a fuss about everything because there is really nothing tangible the President has done wrong, so they grab at straws, period.

There was outrage over Clinton's pardons. And even if those pardons were problematic, another president's mistakes don't make the Scooter pardon right. Democracy doesn't work unless we can trust our leaders. However, Bush's pardon is more serious, I think, because it's too obviously a means to save himself and others in his administration from accountability for things that matter terribly.

you're making the same mistake as your critics. you're against Clinton's pardons, but content with Bush's pardons. Why?

He was roundly condemned (Clinton) by his detractors. But that, for the average American mind, was a long time ago. Anyway, there is no further need to criticize the man who longer occupies the White House.

I detest clinton for his pardon of Reich and would tell clinton this to his face and bush's pardon of libby is a disgrace. Now my question to you is because clinton did his atrocious pardon it's ok for bush to do one? I sure admire your stand for morality..ya cretin.

Clintoon was a joke as the president. The reason liberals whine is because there is a Republican in the White House.....they need to get used to this too, because they are going to be saying President Thompson real soon.

But since you asked, people are outraged because Bush commuted the sentence of one of his own inner circle and didn't even have the guts to do it publicly but did so via a press release so he wouldn't have to answer any questions. And he did so over the Independence Day holiday, hoping that it would pass unnoticed.

Yea I looked at it. Most of them were pardoned for victimless crimes. Not a one were traitors or committed treason, that will be the Bush admin. legacy.

I think some one who had spent 30- 40 years in prison for being AWOL deserves a pardon. It must be taken on a case by case basis. We don't have all the facts to make a judgment.

People are outraged bacause W thinks he is above the law. Over and over he has acted outside of the legal system, and over and over his scapegoats are getting away with it.

He might get away with it now... but someday he is going to have to answer to a higher power.... and I hope that keeps his "moral law abiding self" up at night.

and the key here is, his sentence was commuted and he was not pardoned. He still has to pay the $250k fine and is on probation for 2 years. one slip up and he's going to prison. that's tough for perjury.

choke on, isn't it? Libby wasn't even guilty. Everyone
in D.C. knew who Flame was and what she did. What's
such a big deal.......another Democrat push to take down
anyone in the Bush administration and that's all it was.
They are still charging him over $200,000. That in itself
is a hold-up.
