Can you believe this??

The following is part of an article I thought exemplifies what is wrong with this Presidency. It shows the blatant benefits of being a "friend" of this president. Can anyone say Scooter?? The full article link is below.

"At a town-hall style meeting, Bush also rebuffed a question about whether he would consider pardoning two Border Patrol agents in prison for the cover-up of the shooting of a drug trafficker in Texas.

"No, I won't make you that promise," Bush told a woman who asked about a possible pardon. Many Republicans in Congress have said the men should not have been convicted and have criticized the federal U.S. attorney for even prosecuting the agents.

"I know it's an emotional issue but people need to look at the facts. These men were convicted by a jury of their peers after listening to the facts" as presented by U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, said Bush. Bush called Sutton a friend."

Before all the name calling starts about me being liberal, I am quite conservative and you are free to read my past posts and answers.

our prez is a whacked out individual. and as john wayne once said, "i didn't vote for him, but he's my president and i hope he'll do a good job."

needless to say, he's a terrible prez and we only have about a year left of this bullsh*t.

He just needs some time to decide. He is the decider you know.

Dude, I hate this administration as much as the next level headed person. But, if you want things to change. Remember to vote.Out.

I have been a Republican since I could first vote in 1972. And I think Bush should be impeached for his stupidity. Commuting Libby's sentence; Allowing our country to continue to be invaded by illegal ALIENS; Getting us involved in Iraq while ignoring his promise to capture Osama bin Ladin; He is as treasonous as Benedict Arnold ever was.
I Remain a Republican in the hopes we can get Tom Tancredo, or Fred Thompson, or someone similar elected. If we get another liberal, I will change my affiliation to Independent.

I am a little more to the left of the middle of the road when it comes to politics. But, what Bush did is completely wrong. And I don't know the whole story on the boarder agents, but if that drug dealer was trying to get away I would feel that he needed to be stopped. There are too much illegal drugs coming in as it is. So, where does Bush really stand on the drug issue. Is there really a war on drugs?

Hey, these agents did the citizens of this country a big service...one less drug runner ! As for benefiting from being a friend of the President..anybody want to check out the last Liar in Chief's pardon list ? WHOA, big contributors to the Democratic Party, tax evaders, and crooks on the lam became instant Friends of Bill !

Many of you out there have not heard all the details of this story, yes they were doing their job and they shot a drug dealer and wounded him and then they made a big mistake, they filed a false report about the incedent and that is what got them in trouble and they really only have themselves to blame, yes I agree that they should get a pardon after all many who have lied to Congress are forgiven but they did lie and thats how they got in all this trouble to start with.
