We're planning a 6-days-trip to Sicily, Monday 13th of August - Sunday 19th of August.
1.Can you help us and give us some advises on how to find an appartment (some web sites maybe) in Syracuse? Which part of the town is the best to stay in?
2.Our flight is to Catania. How can we get to Syracuse - bus or train? Directly from the airport? Any time? (We'll arive around 8 p.m.)
3.Is it possible to rent a scooter and travel around?
Thank you for all your advices. Katka I have been twice to Sicily, I think the best to see sicily is by hiring a car, they say it's rough driving there (I agree) BUT try to avoid inside the city of catania and palermo, try go on a sunday.
I did camping there, took kids, they loved it, it became cheaper. I dont think you need to book an apartment, you can find lots of PENSIONE they call it, like bed and breakfast, pay and sleep.
BY CAR U CAN SEE: (i did)
Taormina - Giardini Naxos - Mount Etna - Gole al Cantara (check this one out) and many more inside villages.
GRAB A MAP and plan your trip by car.
I did it once by Map, 2nd time I had a GPS which helped me lots and lots. |
