It's a little late to be impeaching Bush. It should have happened a long time ago. Plus, impeaching a high ranking government official is very painful for everyone.

Even if he should be impeached, he will not be removed from office. There is not enough time before he is legally retired- on 20 Jan 2009- less than two years is not enough time to do all the legal things necessary.

Though I certainly hope that assessment is accurate, I frankly doubt it. I've said it before and I'll say it again: illegal wiretapping, a disastrous war based on lies, suspending Habeas corpus, secret trials: none of that catches the general public's interest or results in the kind of passion that an unwillingness to tell the truth about extramarital blowjobs does.
