Scooter insurance?

I am 16 and going to get a moped and was wondering if i can pay the insurance monthly in my name or can it be in someone else' name like for example my brother who is over 18, when i say in someone else's name i mean just the bank account the money is being taken from, i thank you for your answers

Insurance companies won't give a toss whose account the money comes from, as long as they get their cash. Oddly, they're a little more choosy when it comes to paying out!

you cant pay monthly at 16 because your not old enough to take out the credit agreement needed.

most allow you to use other bank details but not all because of fraud.
Your probably going to need to do it through someone elses account.

The name on the title has to be the named insured on the policy, then you list the drivers. If you direct withdraw payment from a bank account, the name on the account has to be the same as the name on the title and insurance policy.

For moped/scooter insurance, you won't find someone to let you make monthly payments - because the insurance cost is SO LOW, usually under $300 a year, and the issuing premium is usually 50% earned, most companies want half down, at least, and the other half in two months.

Some times it's cheaper to by a new bike because you can pay for it monthly and get the first years insurance free!

get it under your brothers name and pay for it in full if possible.That way the insurance will be slightly cheaper.And also it does not matter how they get their money as long as they get it.
