Scooter insurance - where can i get cheap scooter insurance for my 16 year old son ?

My 16 yr old son is being quoted stupid prices - he has a 49cc and has past his cbt. can anyone suggest a company who specialise in young riders ?

Where do you live? Try looking for insurance with Student Discounts for good grades but 16 is young and males always cost more until they are 23!! Have you tried e-surance or progressive so you can get quotes from other agencies also? You may be better off adding him to your insurance for the scooter only?

i use a well known bike company called Bennetts as i have found then to be the cheapest so far its worth just getting a quote from them

Scooter insurance will be a lot less for your son as long as you have medical insurance for him. Believe me, full coverage is a waste unless he totals out another vehicle and cause injuries to the others or his passenger. Highly unlikely. His passenger and he will most likely be injured in a collision. Personally, for a novice driver, the last thing in the world I would let my 16 year old son drive is a scooter or motorbike or motorcycle. Good luck and my prayers are with your 16 year old son.
