Will my insurance company pay out? |
i had my scooter stolen.i informed the police and insurance company within an hour of the theft but the police later recovered the scooter on the same day badly damaged. will they still pay out even tho the scooter was recovered?????? Some companies may pay for the repairs. Check with your insurance agent/representative. [When my ex-wife's Buick was stolen (and wrecked), the company did pay for repairs; we had collision and comprehensive coverage, of course.]. I am assuming you have comprehensive coverage (including fire and theft?) if you let them know that it is damaged they will pay but then you might have to pay a higher rate or deductible sometimes its better and cheaper to fix it yourself If you had the correct insurance then it should pay for the damage It depends on what kind of coverage you have. Depends on what coverage you have of course but they should pay for repairs or possibly a total loss under your comprehensive coverage. THEY WILL PAY FOR THE REPAIRS ONLY IF YOU ARE PROPERLY COVERED AND IF IT IS TOTALED THEY WILL PAY YOU BLUE BOOK VALUE. It depends if you have comp/ collission and theft on your scooter. If so yes, if not no. |
