I'm trying to learn what the WA state law says about owning and driving a scooter. I've read that if it is 50cc or below, then a motorcycle license is not needed, is this true? Also, are you required to have insurance on the scooter?
Thanks! 50cc you don't need a motorcycle licence. But you need to be over 16 with a valid drivers licence.
Quote: "Washington does not require insurance for motorcycles, but riders do have minimum insurance requirements for financial responsbility. You might be required to deposit cash or post a bond with the DOL for as much as $25,000 if you're found to be at fault in an accident."
