Does any one know the procedure of how i can transfer and register my uncle's kinetic honda & get it to mumbai

well the scooter is a bit old and the insurance premuims arent paid. Its registered under the M.P number i.e under Indore. i do not know as to how and what needs to be done, so that i can get it to mumbai and register it on my name as well as transfer the ownership in my name and i think i will have to transfer it to the mumbai number i.e M.H. Also i dont know if the insurance and the puc have to be done first in indore or whether it can be done over here. I tried to search information on the internet but didnt get anything accurate. I would like to know what documents my uncle has to get from indore so that i can transfer it in my name. If there are any specific form numbers do let me know about the form numbers as well. I would appreciate if any one could help me with this problem.

First get a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from Indore RTO (this will close all the dues etc that are pending if any); Change the ownership in Indore itself since the seller is required for this. Get your insurance ready (private companies might refuse for old vehicles if the previous insurance company was not their own). Have it transported to Mumbai; preserve your transport ticket. You can ride for 6 months from the time of your arrival without changing the number if you have the transport slip. But this is only theory and police might not give it credibility. Apply for registration change in the main RTO in Mumbai. You "can" ride your vehicle in the meantime.

Get a no objection certificate from RTO where it is registered and then along with that certificate apply for fresh registration to that RTO where you want to get the vehicle registers.

Contact RTO in Mumbai, they will explain the procedure.

First of all you will have to pay all the dues there itself at Indore and get the vehicle transfer in you name from the Rto office.Then book this vehicle either on train or some other transport(by road) ,when it is reached at mumbai you will have to reregistered there (you should have all the papers completed from Indore)then only you are free to drive the vehicle.But I will suggest you to sell this at indore and buy new at there where you are living .

You have to go M.P. Indore city., and contact the regional transport authority people with all the pending taxes and Insurance paid and ask for a transfer certificate to transfer to Bombay Regional Transport Office. They will do the needful things as your request and expect maximum money from you. Meanwhile your Uncle has to transfer the vehicle in your name and get IT registered in your name. Then after getting the Clearance certificate and No objection certificate you have to come to Bombay office and lodge these papers in the Regd. Transport office to get it in your name and pay the full tax here. Except Insurance papers all other things you have to pay and get it registered . If you have patience to read this letter .
