My 125cc 4 stroke stopped working after being parked?

i parked my scooter at work and after work went to start it and it does not work. there is no kick start attached.

when i press the start the cdi clicks but no turn over.
i have a full tank and tried it on two full batterys.
i have removed the front and disconnected the old alarm as it never worked and the led wires had melted together ages ago. the alarm was connected to the cables coming from the ignition.

before it stopped working i replaced a 7.5 fuse as it was broke after it stopped working i found the fuse blown again and replaced it. all the lights and horn work and the day after it had stopped it started on the first press in the morning but i stopped it instantly due to customers appearing. it has never started since.

it is a yamaha maxter 125cc 4 stroke.
i dont know if it is relevant but the fuel/battery gauge needle is constantley moving up then down all the time the ignition is on

Sounds like you have a lot of junk wire and 7 possable points for a short
The easy fix is to replace the entire harness and get rid of the bad wiring There isnt much to it just follow all the plug in connections and be done with it

Sounds like you have short circuit somewhere. Trace all the wiring out and look for bare wires or broken wires that could be grounding out on the frame or other wires. Replace those wires you said are melted together. Those could be a source of the problem. The fuel needle jumping up and down is another indication of a shorted out circuit. I think repairing or replacing the wiring should get ya goin' again. Hope this helps and good Luck!
