My 2001 Aprilia SR5 Scooter won't start. I've powered the battery but and tries to start but won't turn over.

Does it need a new sparkplug? What do you suggest I try?

Could you be a little bit more specific.

1) Drove home fine last night, just won't start today?
2) Was driving fine, and it just died on you?
3) You haven't driven it in a while. It's been parked in storage?

The starter turns the engine but it won't start?
You try to start it but the engine won't turn?

drain the gas, put in fresh - sounds like contamination. this is an inexpensive starting point before replacing parts.

Remove the battery and take it in to be tested.

your battery may be bad or you may not have good posive or nagative contact cheak the wires from battry .make sure kill button is off if have one it will be red button on handlebars.spark plug has nothing to do with turning over. ,make sure all wires is tight and clean to battery
