I am a b/k left leg amputee and am currently recovering from a broken left hip - i need a three wheel battery operated scooter to get around outside- my insurance does not cover and i can't afford much but need something i can depend upon - i do my own errands and all and i can't operate a manual wheelchair outside as it is beyond my physical strength due to other medical problems can anyone help/ Check with local church groups or rest homes. Families of deceased folks would have no more use for the chair and might be willing to donate it to you. You could also contact veteran's groups. Even if you're not a veteran, they may be able to point you in the right direction. have you tried freecycle.org?
