Battery to light a bulb?

how do i use scooter batteries to light a small bulb?

one on the "hot" side and one on "negative"

Buy a bulb with the same voltage as the battery and hook the battery to it.

What kind of scooter ? Generally most have a 12 volt battery with 2 wires coming out. Take 2 wires and connect them to the same 2 that came from the battery. One will be positive and one will be negative. Connect the negative to the black wire on the light or base and the positive to the red or inner portion of the light. As long as the negative and or base is connected and the positive stay connected the light will burn. Oh yea if you want a switch put it on the positive lead.
