Is there anyway i can make my mother's 4 wheel electric Motability scooter go a lot faster?

big wheels? bigger battery? the neighbours goes faster than her's. I want my mothers to be the fastest in the street.

Convert to 240 volt motor, add a set of sticky tyres, add a whippy ariel with a skull and crossbones flag attached but most of all you have to give your mother some bad attitude, tell her to drive it like she stole it and throw in some fancy driving skills, a 60 MPH one handed wheelie while smoking the tyres would be a good start, if all else fails just make sure that you launch your mother from the top of a very steep hill,,

More Volts... bigger batteries or a series of batteries all lined up... but to make it go faster you need more volts.

You would need to redo the entire electrical system. Just replacing any single component (such as battery) would not help due to limiting factors elsewhere, such as the electric motor. Practically speaking you could try to reduce the weight of the scooter by removing all non essential parts. Or look on the motabiliy wesite and see if the scooter might be equipped with a speed governor, which you could try to disable.
