Dose any body have a Roketa MC-54 250cc, Chinese scooter? |
Over came over heating problems now having electrical. Changed battery now voltage regulator. Still getting a occassional flashing red light at the cell phone indicator on dash. I'm starting to think this may have been a big mistake Are you surprised? This is from the same country that sent us toothpaste with poison in it. Actually a Friend got one couldn't get it going, sent it to me, seems I had to replace the cheap battery in it, and also the fuse going to the starter solenoid , other then that I did the required oil and gearbox, cooling system fluid changes at 180 miles and she hasn't had one issue with this bike so far as i am concerned or been called upon for. I did note it was pretty cheap constructed, but for 2k shipped to your door it isn't a bad deal. Are you mechanically inclined? If not, this is prolly not the right choice for you. Chinese quality is still somewhat poor, even with Bandit and Fly, prolly the two best on the market. If you're looking to buy the equivalent of a car, even something like a Ford or a Kia, you don't want a Chinese scooter. They're decent enough, especially when you get the bugs out of them, but with many companies, getting the bugs out of them is made trickier by lack of support, Roketa is particularly famous for that. I have the same scooter and it has an electrical problem too, it came with a radio and alarm...Do you know anyone that can work on these scooters locally? I would gladly sacrifice both, for a straight running scooter. J I can be reached directly at 202 528-7006 |
