Is there such a device that can turn my bicycle into an inside-work-out-bike? If so, where can I find one?

I have a Schwinn cruiser bike. I ride it all the time outside, but now it's too cold. A friend told me that I could find a device that turns my bike into a work-out bike to use inside during the winter. Is there such a thing? Or am I nuts?

Yes there is. Basically, it'ss a stand that lifts up the back tire, and runs it against a wheel

Yes, its called a Blackburn track stand and you can find them in e-bay. They have quite a range in cost.

yea, go to Dick's or Sports Authority. theyre called stationary bikes sometimes. you attach the rear axle to the device which adds resistance to the rear wheel. they cost as little as $80 and as much as $300. a simple one should work just fine for you. i recommend waching tv while you do that. it gets very boring pedaling and not going anywhere.
Ebay will probably be your cheapest route. You need to search for "trainer" or "rollers" under the cycle section.

Trainers use fluid or a magnet to provide resistance while holding your bike wheel off the ground just a bit.

Rollers are just that... rollers that you litterally ride your bike on without attaching your bike to it at all... think of an old fashioned treadmill that wasn't motorized, but for bikes.
