Where can I find a fork for a 29 inch frame Schwinn "World" bicycle? You need to go to a bike shop. The only "World" I can think of is the old Schwinn Worldsport. The tire size should be either the old 27 x 1 1/4 or the 26 x 1 3/8 EA1 (a Schwinn specific size) I forget which. Check the side of the tire to see what size it is and ask for a fork that fits that size wheel. The steerer tube will probably be longer than what you need, you'll need to cut it to fit the frame and remember to include the stack height of the headset in the measurement (or measure off the old fork and cut to that size). bicycle shop go garage sailing You can have one made by Bob Jackson Cycles from Leeds England. Probably cost about $150 which is likely more than the bike is worth. I can only recall one Schwinn that had a frame larger than 25". It was a Paramount made for Wilt Chamberlain in the 1970s. I suggest that perhaps you have the wrong measurement, so a visit to your bike shop is in order. |
