Antique Schwinn Bike?

How much should an antique Schwinn Predator Tiger bicycle be sold for? It is in pretty good shape except for it is missing a training wheel.

Before you consider this an antique you need a little more info...

The Schwinn Tiger was made from about 1966 to (I think) 1976. You can determine the age by looking at the serial number. The second digit in the serial number is a, er, letter. "A" is 1964, "B" is 1965, and so on. These were made in Chicago.

I am pretty sure that the Predator series started after 1976. This means the bike was built in Asia. To check this, the YEAR of manufacture on these would be stamped into the oval nameplate on the front of the bike.

If you have a Chicago model, it may be worth a little something, perhaps up to $100, but collectors are VERY picky when it comes to childrens bikes. Missing or damaged parts (especially a damaged seat or chainguard) will drop the price substantially.

If it is an Asian model, there is really no value to it especially with a missing part. Perhaps $10 or $20 at the most.
