Schwinn and Swann for twins?

I'm expecting twins in July- a boy and a girl.

My husband and I have just started of thinking of names- but I want to incorporate the names Schwinn and Swann into them. Both names have family significance- my mother passed away last year and her maiden name was Swann- and my own maiden name is Schwinn (yes, like the bike). My married name is Lawrence.

My issue is that I don't really want to use the names for twins, becuase they're too similar (and sound like tongue twisters when said together) and because I don't think my children would forgive me if I did that to them. They do have a lot of family significance, though, so I'm reluctant to let them go. Do you think I should use them anyway?

I guess I could consider them as middle names, but I'm not sure yet- would you have any suggestions for first names (boy and girl)?

Thanks!

For a girl...Sophia Swann Lawrence
boy......? No clue Schwinn is a hard one. We did the same thing for my son. He dad was adopted and wanted his original last name in there so we named Him Thomas Moore Tobin. So everyone was happy

I vote using them as middle names...much to hard to find a decent variation for a first name.
Both seem to flow into Lawrence, so the only task left is to decide which gender gets which name and of course first names! I like the idea of incorporating family names..perhaps you can search your family tree for appropriate first names as well.
Thinking on it, Swann best be assigned to the girl, a little boy is more likely to get teased.

Yes, use them for middle names - that would be great. I like Grace for first name for the girl (wonder why?) Grace Swann... yes, that's cool. I'm not sure about the boy - Adam Schwinn?
Good luck with your new babes!

what about first name or middle name of your mother or even make a name out of the letters from them both like shani ( pronunced shanee) whinni or somethin sorry if that doesnt help

I admire the fact that you're keeping the family names running.
I would suggest using those as middle names.
I love Lindsay Swann, and maybe Thomas Schwinn? I think those names would be adorable.
Good luck!

I say use them both but as middle names. Your right, it is just too much as first names. I used my maiden name as my sons middle name out of respect to my parents. Go with your heart!

i do think that those would be wonderful middle names.

Firstly, you MUST always remember that your twins are TWO DIFFERENT people. Do NOT give them rhyming names, do NOT dress them the same, do NOT assume that will ever be the same. Having said that, name your daughter and name your son. Do NOT name your twins. Keep them as separate people. Here is a list of names for you:
