My cable for schwinn AD3 has been discontinued. even schwinn dealers do not sell. how can I locate me cable?

my schwinn AD3 is over 20 years old. My speedo cable broke. no schwinn bike store or schwinn company make this cable since this airdyne bike is no longer produced. any suggestion how and where I might find this cable?

To me this sounds like perhaps a spur of the moment/crazy suggestion, but have you tried EBay? Seems to me that they have a lof of stuff there that you'd never expect you could find and *maybe* this could be one of them.

I seem to recall my old mechanical speedometer had a cable very similar to the ones used on cars. Maybe take what's left of it to a junkyard and see if they can come up with something that you can modify to fit.

Or better yet, go get one of the new digital speedometers and move up to the new millenium. :-)
