Is the handlebar of a stock 700c schwinn bike adjustable/raise?

I don't feel like running downstairs with some screwdrivers to fiddle with the handlebars so I decided to ask online.
Can the handlebar be raised any further from it's stock height say at Walmart or Target?

It depends on what type of stem you have and also if it is already adjusted as high as it can go. I suggest putting down the screw drivers and walk downstairs with hex and standard wrenches - these would be the tools to use.

If you have a quill stem you can raise it to the max height line.
If you have an adjustable - adjust it high as it can go.
If you have a threadless, flip the stem for more rise if possible and stack all spacers under the stem if this applies.

i have some inexpensive carbon (very light and durable) spacers on my store
they will raise your stem depending on how much space you have up to 2"

usually if it's a non-threaded stem (all one piece), then yes, you can raise it.

using a hex wrench, loosen the top-facing bolt, yank up the bars (may have to twist a bit) and then re-tighten.

I have a similar Schwinn -- no the height isn't adjustable.
