Kona PhD flat bar road bike? Any feedback? |
Am considering purchasing a Kona PhD, but can't find any reviews online. Anyone ridden or own this bike? sorry, haven't seen one in person. how experienced are you with bikes? how much do you weigh? where do you ride? my impression from checking the Kona site: - it has radial front spokes... these are typically used in racing bikes, may be too fragile for heavy use if you weigh more than 180 lbs. Mavic wheels have a good reputation, but be prepared for shop bills down the road. - I really don't understand the appeal - the only real difference with a regular road bike is the bars and brakes... so you're paying the same amount for a bike that offers fewer hand positions? |
