What is the right level of mixtutre for a yamaha yz250 off road bike? |
how much oil and how much petrol do i put in bike? It's been a while since I had a dirtbike but it was always 3 ounces of 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas. It was never anything different and I had a number of different dirtbikes including a YZ. See? that guy above me says the same thing. 3 to 1 means 3 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. mix it 3 to one. 32 to 1 Jason got it right - 32 to 1 3 parts gas to 1 part oil is a little rich on the oil side. Purchase a "ratio rite" cup. If you're using - 1 gal - 2 gal - 3 gal of gas, it gets complicated. This is NOT rocket science, a little math is all it takes. There are 128 ounces in a gallon, so you take the desired ratio and divide it into 128. 32 goes into 128 4 times, that 4 is how many ounces of oil you need per gallon of gas. So, if you buy a 16 ounce bottle of premix oil you need 4 gallons of gas to mix it at 32:1. That bike has a power valve so I would use a synthetic oil so you don't have to worry about gumming it up, and a motocycle specific oil at that. 32 to 1 32:1, or 4 ozs. of oil for every gallon of gas. |
