Road bike cassette/hub making noise. What could it be?

i recently used a citrus degreaser to clean my chain and cassette , i rinsed it with a garden hose. now my cassette makes noise; as if the bearings were loose or something

I've already lubed it with TriFlow
Does it need grease?

Sounds like you cleaned your cassette while still on the hub. When you washed and rinsed it you clean out the lube IN your freehub. The bearings aren't lose but lack lubricant. You will have to lube your freehub. I lay the wheel with the freehub up after I removed the cassette. Put a few drops of lube on the freehub right near the axle bearing and let it seep in for a couple minutes or so spinning the freehub to work it in. You may be able to get a little lube between the freehub and the wheels flange (where the spokes are) it's very narrow in both locations, use small amounts of lube let it sit and spin and redo again if needed. You should hear the freehub get much quieter if so you did what you needed to do. I use any lube with the consistency of 5w30 motor oil. I actually use 5w30.
It could be the hub, the cassette, or the chain.

If the chain isn't lubed well enough the chain noise might be louder than you might remember before it got dirty.

If you REALLY shot the cassette and hub with water it is possible that you washed away the lube in either of them. This will require a hub rebuild or removing the freehub and soaking it in some good synthetic oil overnight.

If the noise has a grinding sound it is the chain against the cogs... you may have some crap remaining on the cogset or in the chain.

I find it hard to believe that you actually cleaned enough lube out of your freehub to hear it. Most freehubs are well-sealed enough these days to keep out most liquids, unless you've ridden miles in mud up to the hub, or used a pressure washer on the seals. A garden hose isn't going to force enough water/solvent past the seals to cause any damage to the point where you can here it right away. I think it's more likely that all the extra crud on your chain and cassette were helping to keep it quiet, and that removing the crud simply revealed that it's slightly out of adjustment.

Put the bike in a workstand or have a friend hold up the rear wheel for you.

With the chain on the 5th cog in the rear (unless you have a seven speed cassette, then put it on the 3rd cog). pedal the bike and see that the chain lines up from the upper jockey wheel directly under the cog. If it doesn't, turn the barrel adjuster (where the cable goes into the derailleur) so that it lines up directly under the cog. Turning the barrel adjuster in will let the derailleur move towards the smaller cogs, turn it out to move it towards the bigger cogs.

Shift up and down a couple gears (while turning the pedals of course) and see that the chain shifts up and down smoothly. If it doesn't turn the barrel adjuster until it seats on the gear and doesn't make noise. If it doesn't quite make it up to the next bigger cog or makes noise after it does, turn the barrel out. If it doesn't quite drop to a smaller cogor makes noise after it does, turn the barrel in. You'll need to repeat the shift up/down - turn the barrel sequence several times to make sure it's right.

If you can't dial it in, take it to someone that has experience at this. Sometimes it takes just the right touch.

I could be wrong about the bearings, but I doubt it. Proof positive would be to remove the rear wheel, hold it by the axle and spin it. You must allow the freehub to spin with the wheel for this. It you feel any grinding or hear any grinding or gritty noise, you need a hub rebuild. Still' I'm betting a chain tweak will fix you up.
