Which bike is more suitable in bike touring ? recumbent or normal customized road bike?
normal customized road bike
multiple speed with upright handlebars comfortable gel seat, if the terrain isn't to hilly, use 700x35C tires or if you have access to older 27 inch wheel bike a 27 x 1 1/4 tire would be OK. A recumbent (or BENT the trade ID) could be pricey, you sit lower to the road and auto's have difficulty seeing you, but the seat is like a chair. ( they come in two wheel or three wheel models)
