Which Off-Road bike should I purchase? |
CRF150F or the TT-R125LE. Its a matter of preference Im sure...ultimately which has the better better performance? Well, better performance.... If it's all about performance, then the bike with the bigger displacement will usually have 'better performance'. The TT-R with lots of aftermarket parts (and there are alot of go-fast parts) will be faster than a stock CRF, but put some go-fast parts on the CRF and it will pull into the lead again. If the money is the same or pretty close, get the CRF. Every little bit of displacement helps, especially if you live much higher than sea-level. What ever you buy, do some internet searches for TT-R or CRF mods, and find out what you can do cheaply to get the most performance out of your bike. A better thing to do is to ask your riding friends, the good ones, to teach you how to be a better rider. What are their techniques for getting up hills, out of mud holes, etc. If you and a friend have the same bike, the difference in performance then becomes who is the better rider, with the correct technique. Get some books at the library on riding technique. go yamaha. damn good bikes The crf is for racing and riding fast the Yamaha is more a trail bike. You really need to compare bikes that are similar. The crf is comparable to the YZ line up, fast competitive race bikes and the TTR is comparable to the XR line up, good, steady, fun, easier to ride, but not really competitive have the dealer hold up a mirror and sit on each which ever you look the hottest on buy. CRF150F go with the honda...along with newer bikes i have a 1991 honda xr250 that runs like new... great engineering |
