What's the best road bike for a lady? |
What's the best road bike for a lady? Harley 883. Very hot.use a Le run brand because your a lady and you might drop and get hurt but at least the bicycle is in good shape!! Obviously a Lady will need secure storage for her tiara and other aristocratic accoutrement's; a good surface on which to have her Coat of Arms displayed and a means of communication with her footman who, undoubtedly, will be accompanying her on a similar but lesser machine. If the Lady in question intends to be self-sufficient in supplying motive power may I suggest that she considers the "Pashley Princess" produced by Messrs. Pashley of Stratford on Avon in Warwickshire, England. depends on what your experience is,and what type of bike your into.a 250 sports bike or a cruiser style might be easier for you to handle. Depends on the lady in question, just as it does for a gentleman. Where's she going to ride it ? Around town, off-road, day rides, touring or racing ? Does she want speed, comfort, economy, manoeverability, practicability, stability, and looks ? Which of these is she prepared to do without, which will she sacrifice some of to gain more of the others ? You can't have it all: if its manoueverable, its less stable; if its fast, its not economical; if it handles well its, comfort suffers; etc... But most importantly, how experienced a rider is she ? A learner bike is to learn, and should be chosen with that in mind, and the expectation that it'll be temporary. It will probably hit the deck at least once. It should be light, which will reduce the frequency of incidents, and enable confidence & skills to be built. Experienced riders may select from a wide range of bikes, but most have to make some compromises - getting both feet flat on the deck is nice and an issue for some, being able to afford to maintain the beast is an issue for others. Any bike a lady likes is cool by me, (harleys only just, Japanese cruisers even less), but a Ducati Monster, MV Brutale or KTM Super Duke would be the tops. put some handle bars on the stove and get to cooking!!!!
