Toe clips/straps for a road bike. Where can I get the best deals locally? (Chicago West-Suburbs)? Ask friends or people riding bike trails. Most throw them out when they buy clipless, but like me, may have a couple sets stashed in their parts boxes. Price: FREE. honestly... toe straps are probably less than $10 anyways, so you might be able to save a dollar or two, but thats pretty much immaterial... they're not that much work in a bike shop Go to any local bike shop and it should only cost about $10-$15 for pedals with toe straps. Halsted St. Phone: 773-248-0107 just tossed a set to a commuter that i barely know who asked for em. they came on my lowend bike and i made the upgrade to clippless. if you care to make the upgrade id highly recomend it other wise just ask around im sure some ones got a set theyd give you for free as long as you promised not to tell any one where you got them.
