I'm looking at a Giant road bike. Any comments on either the TCR or OCR line? |
I'm looking at a Giant road bike. Any comments on either the TCR or OCR line? TCR is a regular road bike, A OCR is a Comfort road bike it sits you up more!!!!!!!! It has aggressive geometry and will help you ride fast, because it puts you a more aerodynamic and efficient position on the bike. The OCR's are a little more relaxed and will place you a little more upright on the bike. (IE: Your torso will be more exposed to frontal air.On a TCR your back will be flatter. An OCR is a more comfortable bike to ride. I ride a TCR and it is the quickest bike I've been on. Quality and components are pretty equal on both lines at each price point. Mostly it depends on what style of riding you will do. TCR=race, OCR=more comfort. they are good entry level road bikes... kind of depends on how much you want to spend... I prefer KHS, Trek, and Specialized http://www.specialized.com It depends what you are doing with the bike. OCR range is for comutting and comfort. The TCR range is for speed racing. Out of the two there is a half a degree in them bet the rear chain stays make the difference. look at the distance between the rear wheel and the seat down tube out of the levels in tcr 3,2,1, and team model compared to the ocr range. Recomend take the price range for a spin and what ever feels more comfortable... well than you should enjoy ridding more. I am an bike mechanic and store manager |
