Wherer can i get a cheap road bike? |
im thinkin one under $50 doesnt matter how old try adding a 0. Cycling can seem expensive but the fun you'll have, you'll save time, money and get fit too. That being said .... forget Wallmart, experienced cyclists can find deals if you shop Craigs, thrift stores, e-bay and bike-specific swap meets if you don't know what you're doing you WILL buy two bikes. 1) the one you buy 2) the replacement that actually fits. The most expensive bike you can get is the one that sits in the garage because it doesn't fit or work for you. So.... Shop for a bike shop that gives excellent service Shop for a bike that fits you well. Some shops actually carry used/trade in bikes. You get the service of a full service shop and save $$ too. If you're lucky enough to have one in your area check into that. find a local bike club in your area and ask them for recommendations or check: Source(s): www.bikejournal.com 50 bucks sure i'll sell you mine,but really you can get some cycling shorts fo 50 bucks lol thats about it,you should go to local shop and spend aroud 4-500 bucks,you can get fairly decent road bike! 50 is going to be a bit hard but I'm sure you could find someone to sell theirs to you. I just bought a roadbike GMC Denali (not a joke) from Wal-Mart for $147 and it works AWESOME. Good luck with that search. Decent bikes can't be had for $50, no matter how old. What you might find for $50 will be no fun to ride, that's for sure. Stolen ? Cheapest road bike will set you back at least $400+. I like the Tomasso Imola and the Fuji Finest 4.0. Both are nice bikes for an entry level rider. Sorry, but $50 won't buy you anything worth riding. Even a entry level mountain bike will be at least $250, and that would be on sale. nowhere for 50 bucks. try www.craigslist.org they sell used bikes. kinda like eBay. now, there's a thought try eBay I got mine used for 300. If you want used bikes, think 100-400 dollars. my friend got one for 100, but the condition is way to crappy. |
