Im 5'0 tall - looking for a road bike. is a 19" frame too big? Its depends on your leg length - go to a bike shop and have them fit you for a bike. yeah 19" is too big I think u should look for 6" only ..... im not sure try sitting on the bike and you want to have yur feet on the pedals with your knees slightly bent Most likely, yes it is. A 19" / 48cm frame is usually good for someone around 5' 6" and taller. All depends on your inseam. You're need a much smaller frame.Maybe 43cm. WAyyyyyyy big for you. You need no more than a 15" in an adult bike, and even that might be big unless you are long-legged. A 19" is for someone about 5'8" to 5'11, give or take an inch. I ride a 17 or 18 and am 5'6". 19" is a good frame size; you get the most choices of brands and styles. If it doesn't fit don't buy it, but consider: --- A smaller frame may not be as durable. --- Component replacements are easier to find on medium sizes --- If you decide to sell it, it is a popular size. --- A bigger frame should be steadier on steep hills. yes it is, ask a good bike shop to see if a 17.5" is good or if not what is.. |
