Does anyone know where i could get a used road bike? |
Does anyone know where i could get a used road bike? Try craigslist.com (for your City). It's hard to sell used road bikes, so if you are patient, you may get lucky. You can also stop by your local bike shops. It's sometimes rare, but they do take in trade-ins, or at least have a board where you can post "for sale" or "wanted items." One place you can also look is Craigslist. People will post bicycles for sale on that particular list board every so often. Caveat Emptor: Know what you are looking for and how much it costs brand new! Many times theives will post stoeln goods on CL for a super-duper price. Turns out the item is stolen! Yard sales. You can find the greatest bikes ever made for next to nothing, sometimes they are just thrown away. Japanese made bikes were the highest quality bikes ever made. Look for a sticker that say Tange No.2 ( it's good chromoly tubing). These are quality bikes and good chromoly will ride much better than today's entry level aluminum and will certainly out live any frame made of aluminum and carbon fibre in the long run.
