How can I true my own wheels on a road bike?

How can I true my own wheels on a road bike?

It's a bit tricky, but you will need a TRUING STAND, SPOKE WRENCH, and a DISHING TOOL, as well as a good source of information on how to do it, such as a quality maintenance manual. This is not something you do casually, and if you are mechanically challenged, don't even think about it, especially if you have pricey wheels with exotic spokes and/or rims. I have been doing it for years with fairly normal rims and spokes, and have extended the lifespan of these indefinitely with good regular touch ups. You might find some helpful info here: http://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto... or here: http://www.sheldonbrown.org/tooltips/tru...
Good luck.
You should bring it to a bike shop and have them teach you. You can do a lot of damage to a wheel by improperly Truing it. It is probably the trickiest repair of all.
It is a fairly easy process proving you are systematic. This link l found via Google gives reasonable instructions
