Can I race a track motorbike on a track without a road bike license? |
Can I race a track motorbike on a track without a road bike license? Yes. You did say RACE so you'll need a competition license thru whatever organization you run with. A drivers license is not necessary. depends on track..iv seen it both ways Keep an eye out for cops an sure. i have ridden a dirt bike and joined in races and I do noy have a driving license They generally don't ask to see your endorsement at a track day. Better make sure you know how to ride though - or you will be endangering yourself as well as others. Track days are great for honing your riding skills - but you need to develop your basic skills first. If you take an MSF basic course, you get your street endorsement at the end of the course in most states. YES.....as long as you havent lost your road licence... most governing bodies of motor sport allow people that do not have a road licence to get a race licence....but if you loose your road licence for a road offence they will cancel your race licence as well.. lost my race licence..(4years ago).....got done for driving under the influence whilst out in the boat....lost the boat, car, bike,&race licence in one fell swoop......(wont do that again...) 6 months without a vehical.....(hate catching the bus) but you get them all back when the six months is up.. I think easygoing has it right ! but be warned track days are great fun but lots of the guys are insane so don,t go too mad on your first attempt ! you should first phone the circuit and find out for sure have fun but remove all the plastic work from the bike and sell it before it gets stacked if you want to use a fairing etc get some cheap after market items as most of the track day loonies do |
